Matt Dean was born to fight…and kill. A member of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be the perfect soldiers with an expiration date. His mission leads him to Charmed, Idaho…and to a beautiful woman with eyes like emeralds and a body made for pleasure.
But Matt's strong arms offer her protection, and his gentle touch promises passion unlike anything she's ever known. As lethal forces surround them, revealing explosive secrets about Matt's past and putting everything—and everyone—he holds dear in danger, can he save them all before time runs out?

Although this is the second book in the series, it can be read as standalone. I read this before reading first book and I have no problem following the story. It's fast pace, filled with twists and turns, and full of actions towards the end.

Matt was a very likeable character. Handsome, strong, steady, smart, very protective to the people that he cared about. I was amazed by his strength at the ending with his determination to save the people he cared about despite he was badly injured. He's extraordinary. Laney was a strong woman with kind heart. She never stop giving me surprise. And she managed to overcome her fear to save the people she cared about. I was glad that Matt did not misjudge her by her past.

I enjoy reading the book very much. The story is very interesting and I always enjoy reading strong hero. The suspense, romance and action made the whole package very attractive. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. And I would definitely go back to read the first book of the series to learn more about Matt's another younger brother.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
Book Description

In East Salem, the elite St. Adrian’s Academy is at the nexus of a satanic apocalypse—and the fatal tide is rising.

When Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights is reunited with the pagans who commissioned it, a dark prophecy begins to unfold in East Salem, beginning with a savage double-murder by hellish creatures straight out of the painting itself. The lone survivor of the attack, a seventeen-year-old Brit, finds sanctuary at Tommy Gunderson’s home—and the place is soon surrounded by demons who seem to be biding their time…but for how long?

Tommy’s pond has been contaminated with Provivilan—an insidious drug that could transform New York City’s children into an army of violence-addicted murderers. But for an occult cabal in the upper echelons of Linz Pharmaceuticals, contaminating the water supply is just part of an ancient conspiracy against all of humankind.

As the clouds gather, Tommy and Dani realize they must infiltrate Linz and St. Adrian’s to stop the dissemination of Provivilan. Even then, it could take a tangible eruption of the battle between angels and demons to save humanity from the supernatural evils that have been summoned to East Salem.

Finally, the last installment of the East Salem series is here. I was so excited when I know it's coming out and couldn't resist myself to get the book immediately. And similar to the 1st and 2nd installment of the series, Lis Wiehl together with Pete Nelson did not fail to surprise me with more suspense and excitement in this final book of the series. The story continues from the ending of the 2nd installment. So it is recommended that you read the series from book 1 onward to understand the whole story.

In this last book, the characters introduced from the 2nd installment were playing more important role, working hand in hand with Tommy and Dani on fighting the demon. The battle started right from the beginning of the book, making me so nervous and at the same time worry for them. In the whole book of more than 300 pages, many things happened and the time span was only 5 days, detailing the role of each person played and the dangerous of their actions in the whole battle. The authors have shown excellent skills on weaving the emotion, suspense, and twist and turns of the events into the story. I would say there is no single hero in the whole battle, everyone plays an important role in fighting the demon. And of course, God already has his plan for everyone in this whole thing.

I love this series very much. The whole series is full of mystery, suspense, excitement and definitely a page turner. And I love the ending too. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

Tangled is a very refreshing read, as it is from a male POV. A narration from a funny, arrogant, cocky male. Yup it's a narration. But instead of boring narration like diary, it's actually written like Drew is talking to you personally. Some of my favourite quotes from Tangled: -

“For God's sake, don't let her watch Cinderella. What kind of example is that? A mindless twit who can't even remember where she left her damn shoe, so she has to wait for some douchebag in tights to bring it to her? Give me a frigging break!”

“It makes me want to kiss her and strangle her at the same time. I’ve never been into S&M. But I’m beginning to see its benefits.”

Tangled is fun and light-hearted. I was laughing at how Drew and Katherine fight like a child. And some of the the things that Drew commented about men simply made me grin. And I definitely enjoy reading the part where Drew go all out trying his very best to win Katherin's heart over. At some point, I was actually thinking what did Katherine think about Drew. :)

I enjoy reading this book very much. I consider it's well written as a debut. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

When I first started reading this book, honestly I don't know what should I expect from it. As the author seems like can't stop to emphasize how hot how sexy Remy is, and how Brooke get turned on even by just looking at him. And yet, Remy refused to bed her, again and again despite the sexual tension between two of them. But as the story continue to unfold itself, there are more about Remy, the not so pretty side of him behind his fame, behind his sexy muscular body. I kind of like the way Brooke handle things. She is mature. She cares. And she is strong. The ending is unexpected, but best ending ever.
In overall, it's quite a good read. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
But they are not like the boring bedroom sex as in BB, in fact like Sara, I was curious and looking forward to what would be the next destination that Max had chosen for her on Friday. I actually like the way they interacted with each other. And they had developed feeling with each other without realizing about it until later. Max had this charm that was irresistable. And he's definitely a man who knew what he wants.

In overall I enjoy reading this book very much. I rate it 3 out of 5 stars.
I'm not sure how should I write this review. Honestly, this book is just not for me. It's not so much about the story. But I think I just not into the author's poetic writing style of this book. Don't get me wrong. The writing is beautiful, descriptive and very detail. But due to the wordy description, I feel the pace is so slow. The more I read, the more I feel like want to give up. Well, maybe it's just my current mood and my busy schedule. I may try to re-read this book again and see if it gives me different feeling. And if you are into elaborative writing style, you may like this book.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He's exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.

Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family's massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who'd been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he's never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe's so tempting he's willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.

As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they're willing to lose in order to win each other.
Another fan-fic of the Twilight. The story is actually not that bad. In fact I quite like Chloe. I think she's cool, able to walk straight out from the room after her boss surprised her with pushing her down on the table and had sex with her. And then back to work the next day as if nothing had happened. As for Bennette, I'm not sure should I laugh at him or pity him. A man who acted arrogantly to a woman in order to mask himself that he had interest on her. Anyway I think those hot scenes are a little overwhelming. It's like all they do each time seeing each other was just for the sake of having sex only, making the story getting weak. More than half of the content is about how they can't keep their hands off each other. I would give a higher rating if not of the excessive unnecessary sex scenes.

I rate this book 2 out of 5 stars.
For fans of Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to You comes an erotic, emotionally charged romance between a powerful man who’s never heard “no” and a fiery woman who says “yes” on her own terms.

He was the one man I couldn’t avoid. And the one man I couldn’t resist.

Damien Stark could have his way with any woman. He was sexy, confident, and commanding: Anything he wanted, he got. And what he wanted was me.

Our attraction was unmistakable, almost beyond control, but as much as I ached to be his, I feared the pressures of his demands. Submitting to Damien meant I had to bare the darkest truth about my past—and risk breaking us apart.

But Damien was haunted, too. And as our passion came to obsess us both, his secrets threatened to destroy him—and us—forever.

Release Me is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences

Alright, I'm not a fan of 50 Shades. But I find this book acceptable to me. I like how the story is being unfolded. And the little suspense incorporated into the story.

Nicky Fairchild is strong and bold. She may have her own past demon, but she learn to deal with it. And I would say she did quite well on that. Damien, as expected, is rich and bossy. But then he never look down on Nikki and her best friend who are not as wealthy. In fact, he would try to help in his own way. The attractions between Damien and Nikki are very hot. Close but not entirely a dominant and submissive thing. Though bossy but Damien never play a dominant role, at least it's never spell out in their agreement and Nikki submitted herself out of desire and trust. But she would not submit herself entirely if it's against her believe and her true self. Sometimes I think the way Damien treated Nikki is too perfect, a little unrealistic. I mean, it's very hard to find such man where you are his whole world. Alright, maybe not when Damien being shut off and distance himself from her. But then his intention was to protect Nikki. He thought he can handle everything, he wanted to handle everything. But isn't every man think like this too?

Although the story line may not be very original, but I did not have a tough time finishing the book. The little suspense element in the story keep my interest on.
I rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

My understanding is this is Erin McCarthy's debut on Young Adult genre. This is her very first book that I read so I can't compare to her other books. When I started to read this book, I find the pace is kind of slow and it does not really attract me to continue reading. I put it aside for a while, and few weeks later I come back to pick it up again. And this time, I find that the book is actually not that bad after all. It's a bad boy with good girl kind of story.

As I read along, I slowly find myself attracted to Rosy and Tyler and just want to read more about them. What I like most about them is their honesty. They have been very honest with each other, especially Rosy, in which this is very important in all relationship. I think without this honesty, they probably would never get together. Although Tyler has not been very open with Rosy about the deal with her roommates, but he did not deny it when Rosy questioned him about that. And most important he never hide anything about the situation of his family to her. Which to me that's a plus point. The more I read, the more I like about Tyler. I actually can't hold my tears reading the part what Tyler's mom has done to him. I could not believe that she actually did it. I find the ending is a little brief though. I wish to read more what happen to Tyler after school reopen, whether did he get to continue studying or not, and the impact on that incident to his future. Nonetheless, overall it's a good read.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I'm looking forward to read the next book about Jessica.
Reaping Me Softly is an interesting read. It's nice to read something that is not vampire or werewolf in the paranormal genre. The author did a good job in developing the plot as well as the characters in the story. Niko was a refreshing character. I like how he took care Arianne and trying his best way to protect her. Arianne was a kind and a lovely girl who cared a lot for her family. I envy her best-friend-like relationship with her sister Carrie. And how far she would do for her sister. Arianne's best friend, Ben is a very likeable character too. And I was not surprise of his action at the ending. Another very interesting character here was Death. Kate made Death and his minion, the reaper totally different from the 'traditional'. The idea of the reaper could grow old like normal human being, and then be reborn, made the romance between Niko and Arianne very possible. I won't say the ending is unpredictable. But I really did not see the "losing memory" part coming. And honestly, I'm anxious to read the next installment of the series.
I enjoy reading this book very much. I rate it 3 out of 5 stars.
This book is hilarious. While some people may think it's too much or ridiculous, it's all depends how you see it. Sometimes I think can a person has so many embarrassing moments? Anyway it's just a fiction after all. And I kind of enjoy reading it.

When I first started reading, I was like, what kind of person is this Claire? But then soon she got my respect. A person who swear not to have any child, who determine not to give birth to any child since young, would accept having a baby after a one night stand, where she did not even know who the father is. She did go try to search the father of the child. But without the name it's hard and she did not manage to find him. And yet she did not give up on the baby. I think not anyone can do that. Her best friend, Liz, was a jewel. A friend that hard to get.

While Claire could not forget the father of her child, as she was looking at his eyes every day from her son. On the other hand, Carter also could not forget this woman who he had one night stand with for the whole 5 years. While he did not know her name, too wasted on that night to remember her face, but he definitely remember her unique chocolate scent. He even went to search high and low on her after that night. So in actual, both of them were looking high and low for each other, but seems like fate had them missed each other until 5 years later. Their son, Gavin was a cheeky little boy. You would never get bored with him around. Hahahaha. I was laughing out loud especially reading the part where Carter was getting 'poop' talk from one of the father that he met at the library, and how Carter got panic after that. That was epic! My another favorite scene was when Carter met Gavin for the very first time, at Claire's shop.

Seduction and Snacks is a hilarious and yet a sweet romance. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
From hiding behind as a victim closed to being raped, to bravely stand out to do the right thing to report to the authority, the author has done a good job in showing how the victim, the family and the community reacts in such sensitive issue. On top of that, the author did a very good job on the plot, and the development of the characters. Lucas, appeared mysterious and complicated at the beginning. But as I read more and more about him, he had my full respect. He's not only smart, but he's hardworking and independent. And he knew what's the right thing to do. I like the way he treated Jacqueline, how he won her heart, slowly and naturally. I was immersed to the story right from the beginning. There were several parts that I just could not hold back my tears. This book was simply amazing.

I enjoy reading this book very much. It is one of my favorite. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.
I find the story is quite interesting. However I feel the pace is rather slow. There are lots of actions throughout the whole book. I admire Clary's courage. She did not show any fear after knowing about her mom and her true identity. Instead, she embraces the upcoming challenges with open heart and courage. I salute her for that. And I'm glad that she's not alone in her journey. Besides the main characters, I find the other supporting characters are equally shinning in the story. And they all play an important role throughout Clary's adventures in the Shadowhunter world. The ending is a little out of my expectation. And made me can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Overall it's quite a good read. I rate it 3 out of 5 stars.
The Betrayal by Jerry B. Jenkins is the second book in the Precinct 11 series. The story picks up from where The Brotherhood ends. I enjoy reading first book The Brotherhood a lot. And I was looking forward on reading this book 2. Honestly, Jerry Jenkins did not disappoint me at all. The 2nd book of this series is full of suspense. The plot was exciting and full of mystery. Similar to book 1, The Betrayal is full of actions. I just could not stop turning the pages. Besides searching who is the betrayal, the story also continue on Boone's relationship with God, and his new relationship after his wife and son have died. Boone is tough, smart and brave. I enjoy reading how he keeps cool and act accordingly when they are in danger. Boone also has an amazing relationship with his boss Jack. I think it's the greatest thing he ever has.
You call this a mission?

Yeah, ex-Army Ranger and Taylor Securities operative Billy Tripp screwed up. So instead of being assigned to a dangerous international mission, he’s sent to babysit a pricey necklace at a trendy South Beach hotel. The only bright side to the assignment is working with the manager, smoking-hot hotel heiress Kristen Dante.

Kristen’s worked hard to build her father’s Miami hotel into a jet-set destination. She’s confident in business but not so much with men. What could a sexy guy like Billy want with her when he could have someone like her beautiful, party-girl sister?

There’s a reason Billy’s known as Mr. Relentless. He doesn’t give up. Not on a job, or on the woman he wants. So when three luxury cars go missing from the hotel’s lot, Billy sets out to find the thief. Suddenly, he has a case with the risks he thrives on. But when his investigation leads to Kristen being threatened, the real danger is losing his heart.
The storyline is simple and fast pace. Making me reading the whole book at one sitting. I always like strong hero. Billy is hot and sexy, and strong. Making Kristen to change from a person who has no confident on her body, to a person who believe she's beautiful and sexy too. I like how Billy approaches Kristen and how he wins her heart. When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.
I wonder why this book is so popular. That make me want to read this book. I'm not a real fan of Twilight, and as expected, this book is not really my cup of tea too. The story of this book is ok. Except in my opinion, the sex scenes are a little overwhelming throughout the whole book. I think it's unnecessary to describe each and every time they get intimate together. In my opinion that makes the storyline become weaker. However I like the banter between Ana and Grey on their emails. I think without those fun emails, I doubt if I will ever finish reading the whole book. And I still don't understand how it become so popular, especially among the female reader. Oh well, just like I'm not a big fan of Twilight too.
In this 2nd book, Dani and Tommy continue to work together on the case. And this time, both Dani and Tommy's ex come into picture which make their relationship a little more challenging. Ryan Christensen just wanted to be an actor. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever imagine that fans would chase him, paparazzi would hound him, and Hollywood studios would all want a piece of him. While filming on location in Seaport, Rhode Island Ryan ducks into a pub for just a quick escape from screaming fans—but fate has other plans.
Meets Small Town Girl
At six foot two, with dirty blond hair, blue eyes, and an incredible body, Ryan has every girl in Seaport swooning—every girl but Taryn Mitchell. Nursing a recent heartbreak, this small town pub owner believes men are best kept at a distance. But when Ryan unexpectedly bursts into her pub, she can’t help but be drawn in by his humor, charm and intense magnetism.
But Gossip Sells and They’re Paying the Price
Despite her better judgment, Taryn soon finds herself swept up in a whirlwind romance with Ryan. But is their bond strong enough to survive the tabloid lies, intrusive paparazzi, and stalking fans who threaten to tear them apart?
I think this is the longest romance book that I have read so far. Although it is long, but the pace is good. And the interesting story line keeps me continue reading.

I don't have much pick on Ryan Christensen. On the other hand, I feel Taryn is a little lack of confident on herself. She keeps on thinking on the negative side, that she is not good enough for Ryan Christensen. She keeps on dwelling on this issue that at the end causing unnecessary tension between two of them. At first it's ok but after few episodes of the drama I feel a little annoyed on that. Taryn is a smart business owner, who run her own bar. I will expect she has higher esteem on herself. Anyway, that what makes their relationship more challenging and once they overcome the challenges, their relationship become stronger.
I enjoy reading this book and I look forward for the next book in this series.
The Sweet Potato Queens? are back and bawdier than ever in Southern belle extraordinaire Jill Conner Browne's ninth edition of the hysterical series. Having experienced pretty much ALL of the crappy parts of life, Browne feels it is her duty to render whatever assistance she can to her fellow sufferers ? and she does so in her own inimitable fashion. Her father taught her there are very few situations in life that we really and truly cannot change, and it is up to us to figure out how to either make fun OUT of them ? or make fun OF them. And fortunately for the rest of us, Browne is well equipped for both. Including the exploits of the Queen contingent and her family, she delivers applicable tidbits like: Thinking or talking about watermelon can save any negative situation. ? If you get drunk in Scotland, you can't have your cow with you. ? When sanity and reason fail, you can always cheerfully resort to ridicule. ? Denial means that every situation is perfectly perfect. More fun than a Cracker Barrel full of monkeys, Fat Is the New 30 will change your life ? or at least give you ideas for making fun of your ownself.
Frankly speaking, this book is just not my type. I hate to say this, but I had difficulties even trying to get to the middle part of the story. I struggled to finish the book, and that's not even a joke. The plot is just so-so and mediocre, and in my humble opinion, the character's development is rather shabby. I did not like this book. Slow, unmoving and rather uninspiring. The book failed to entertain me.
In some ways, the book is rather depressing and I wish that there is more humour in it. I wish I can say that I'd pick up this book whenever I feel down, but this is simply not the case. It might be a keeper if you're into slow and awkward storyline, but if you're a reader who loves fast pace and wit, you will not like this book.
Don't let me stop you from reading this book, though. One man's meat is another man's poison. I did not like this book does not mean you will loathe it too.
Anna Frazier is used to living life at 100 mph, but being downsized out of a job in the financial industry has her permanently stalled. With nowhere to "go, go, go, " Anna hails a cab to her grandparents' neglected New Hampshire camp to plan her next move. It seems like a good idea--until she realizes there's no takeout to be had and the boy next door has grown into a sexy but surly recluse.

Cameron Mayfield knows he can kiss his peace and quiet goodbye when Hurricane Anna blows in. She was loud and bossy as a ten-year-old--and besides developing some attractive curves, she hasn't changed. Cam's not looking for a relationship, especially not with a woman like Anna. He nearly broke down on that road once before. So why can't he stop thinking about her?

It's not long before their sizzling attraction leads to smoking-hot kisses. But as the days get shorter, Anna must decide if she's found a new road to happiness, or just taken a detour.
Having read few of the Kowalski series from Shannon Stacey, I would say I quite like her writing. However Slow Summer Kisses is not like Kowalski, there's not big family. Nonetheless I quite enjoy reading the interaction between Anna and Cameron. some parts are quite fun actually, especially when they try to annoy each other. It did annoy me a little that despite they were attracted to each other, but on the other hand they kept telling themselves why and how much they did not like each other. I like the ending. It's a good ending. I'm glad Anna came to her senses and made a wise decision.

I rate this book 3 out of 5 stars.
Welcome to Grace Valley, California---where blood runs thicker...ties bind stronger...and love is all the more sweet.

Visitors to the town often remark about the valley's peace and beauty---both of which are plentiful. Unlocked doors, front porches, pies cooling in the windows---this is country life at its finest. But visitors don't always see what lies at the heart of a community. Or just beyond...

June Hudson grew up in Grace Valley, the daughter of the town doctor. Leaving only to get her medical training, she returned home and followed in her father's footsteps. Some might say she chose the easy, comfortable route...but June knows better.

For June, her emergency room is wherever she's needed---or wherever a patient finds her. Always on call, her work is her life, these people her extended family. Which is a good thing, since this is a town where you should have picked your husband in the ninth grade. Grace Valley is not exactly the place to meet eligible men---until an undercover DEA agent suddenly starts appearing at all sorts of strange hours.

Everybody has secrets down in the valley. Now June has one of her own.
This is my very first book by Robyn Carr. It took me a while to get to the story. As this book is mostly about people and life of small town. The pace is a little on the slow side. Since the setting is in small town, there are lots of mundane byt interesting details. It's not so much a romance, though the whole series is about how June met with her other half, Jim. June met Jim while Jim was still an undercover DEA agent in Grace Valley. There are not many occurence of Jim in this first book. However sufficient to explain both of them attracted to each other and had fallen in love. But due to Jim's undercover identity, they were forced to stay separated most of the time. And June had to keep his existence a secret.

Though this book is lack of romance, but I find myself quite enjoy reading the life and what's happening around Grace Valley, which are quite interesting. I'm looking forward for the next book in the series, hoping to find out more about June and Jim.

I rate this book 3 out of 5 stars.
Kara McKormick is told she's auditioning to star in a new teen variety show. But it's what she isn't told that could change her life.

The feisty New Yorker moves to sunny Orlando to participate in a month-long audition, where she'll live with nine other contestants and an eccentric housemother. Kara knows that the show already has a big-time celebrity lined up for the co-host, but she doesn't know who it is.

Chad Beacon quickly rose to fame after winning America's Next Star, but he doesn't want his entire career to be about singing. There is so much more he wants to do-like act. The new variety show sounds like the perfect next step for him, but his parents want him to have a co-star who shares his faith since they'll be spending so much time together.

Acting is high on Kara's priority list. But a relationship with God? Not so much. In fact, she's tried to stay away from anything religious. But God is after Kara's heart and He's put people in her life who are showing her there's far more to Christianity than rules and judgment.

And just when it seems that Kara's going to have to give up her acting dream, God reveals that she may have a starring role after all-in a story so big only He could write it.

This is a light and easy read. Kara and Chad both are very likable characters. Both Kara and Chad are down to earth people and brought up well by their parents. I like the way Kara handles the other participants. I'm also amazed by Chad on his faith at the God, who believe the God will choose the right girl for his show. The story is a little similar to First Date, the first book in the series, but nonetheless I enjoy it very much. It is an easy read, and yet a page turner. Though Starring Me is more on how Kara finally turn to become a Christian, the story is not preachy at all. And I enjoy reading those audition scene very much. If you need something simple to read and relax, this is a book for you.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
The last thing Zach Sullivan wants is to take care of his brother's new puppy for two weeks. Until he meets the dog trainer, that is. Heather is bright, beautiful, and he can't stop thinking about her. Unfortunately, she just might be the only woman on earth who wants nothing to do with him.

Heather Linsey can't believe she's stuck working with one of the city’s top dogs, auto-shop mogul Zach Sullivan. Especially when his focus is clear from the start—not only to learn how to deal with his temporary puppy...but also to make her his. Having sworn off love at seventeen when she realized it was nothing more than a pack of lies, Heather has stuck to her vow never to fall for a charming man. The last thing she expects is for Zach to be the one to tempt her into believing again.

But as Heather's determination to push Zach away only fuels his determination to get closer—and the sensual and emotional connection between them grows more and more undeniable—can two people who've both sworn off love find forever in each other's arms?

This is one of my favorite from the whole Sullivans series. Zach and Heather are very likable characters. Not to mention their pets, Cuddles and Atlas, oh they are so adorable! Zach lost his father when he was still very young and seeing the sadness from his mother after losing her husband, Zach vowed not to fall in love and get married. Heather found out her father has been lying to her mom many years ago and since then, she never trust any man. She becomes not interested in getting into any relationship.

Zach and Heather are attracted to each other even during the very first meeting. But since both swear not to fall in love, not to get involve into any relationship, they agree to become friend with benefit. However they have actually fallen in love with each other without realise about it. And do they really think they can guard their heart and resist each other?

This is a very sweet story and easy read. I love to see the interaction between Zach and Cuddles as well as Atlas. The puppy is so sweet and cute! I enjoy reading it very much. And I'm looking forward for the next book in the series.
I was attracted to the book cover and the storyline of this book. And as I started reading, I just could not put it down. I was drawn into their world and both Demitri and Luka were irresistible.

The book is quite an easy read. The story is very original. And the pace is good, except I feel that it's rather rush towards the ending. Characters are well developed. While it shows how attractive Demitri is to Phoenix, but I don't think it shows or explains how Demitri has developed deep feeling for Phoenix. I wonder is there any sequel to this book.
I enjoy reading it very much. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
